Batjet's Meme And My New Toy

I got this meme from Tita Batjet. The tag requires you to write few words on how the name of your blog was coined. Since she was one of the reasons or influences why I have this blog in the first place,(see my first post) I am very more than willing to oblige and do the meme.

Samu't Sari & Sundry, bow!

When I first started this page, I was literally just starting to get acquainted with the world of blogging. Even though I've been hearing so much from them about blogging, I wasn't really very interested to find out what was it all about. Ika nga nila, if you can't beat them, join them. And so I did.

About the blog's name, I had no idea what will it be all about. I just knew then that I will try to write something of just about anything, hence the first phrase - Samu't Sari. But to add a little personal touch to it, I added the word Sundry. Me, being an accountant, we always use the word Sundry to record transactions that are not directly classifiable under the natural accounts. Blah, blah, blah! So ayun, yung blog ko talaga ay walang katuturan at walang direksyon. But what the heck, after almost three years, I've posted more than 100 entries, but that is really immaterial to the many friends Ive known through this. The only regret I have is that I should have started earlier. O, ayan! Phew!

Ok, on a lighter note, I finally gave in to my urge to buy a zoom lens for my camera. It's not due for another three months but I started having sleepless nights just thinking about it.

Last weekend, I went to the Botanical Gardens to give a break-in try of this toy. So far, I'm liking the result. Here are few shots of it.
